Political Rivals Get Physical as Email 'Scam' Leads to Brawl

Well, it saves on the makeup and your hairdresser A TORY backbencher and a Labour MP have been involved in a brawl at a radio station.

Conservative MP Philip Davies, 33, went for lawandorder spokesman Stephen Pound, 57, after he read out an embarrassing email on air.

Mr Pound may have a cracked rib after the fracas which took place after the two men appeared on Talksport radio.

Show host Ian Collins said: "It was an absolutely ridiculous sight. Two grown men in their Savile Row suits brawling as if they were in a playground.

"We broke it up but as they were leaving, one taunted the other and it broke out again."

The email that sparked the scrap said that Mr Davies, who denies the fight took place, had asked local Tories to call the station to show support.

Written by an assistant of the Tory MP, it read: "Tomorrow, Philip will be on Talksport from 12-1 with Steven [sic] Pound and Simon Hughes. Let members know so they can call in and support Phil. …
