Dr, of Gateshead, seems to suggest, in his own muddled way, that pensioners are being picked out by the long arm of the law. Poppycock! These cases are being highlighted simply because the person is over 80. Does DR suggest that elderly people should be above the law? If this person is a pensioner himself then the answer is probably yes. So come on pensioners, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

IN RESPONSE to DR, of Gateshead, paying council tax is the law. If you don't pay you end up in jail. Age has nothing to do with it. What next? Elderly criminals walking free on production of a birth certificate? You cannot change the law simply by refusing to abide by it so pensioners remember, age is not a get out of jail free card.
