ANDY MURRAY believes his high profile victory over Tim Henman will help power him to a place in the World's top 20 by the end of 2006.

Murray started this year in the 400's but has rocketed up to No70 and that ranking is certain to improve next week thanks to his first-round 6-2, 5-7 ,7-6 win over Henman in the the Swiss Indoor Tournament in Basel last night.

It was the biggest win of the 18-year-old's career and brought closer the moment when it will be he that carries the torch for British tennis rather than world No28 Henman and Greg Rusedski, ranked 37th.

Murray said: "By the end of next year I want to be in the top 20 and if I achieve that it will be pretty impressive. I don't see things as just about being the British No1 and that's one of the reasons I moved to Spain to train. That is why I say my ambition in tennis is to be - ultimately - in the top 10 and if that means I also become the British No1 then it would be great. …
