MOB MEETING WILL DISCUSS NEW PRESCRIPTION PLAN

Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton will host a quarterly meeting of the Mayor's Older Buddies program with at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Metropolitan Park.

The program is designed especially for Jacksonville senior citizens. This meeting will include a presentation on the new Medicare prescription drug plan. Lunch will be served, but a reservation is required by calling (904) 630-7392.

WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL HOSTS FORMER AMBASSADOR

Former Ambassador Dennis Ross, who for 12 years shaped the U.S. policy in the Middle East peace process, will be the speaker at the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville at 7:30 tonight in the University Center at the University of North Florida.

Free tickets are required and can be reserved by calling the council's office at (904) 280-8162.

Ross will address the complex world of Middle Eastern policy and discuss the crucial role he believes it will play in America's future. …
