With whole host of festive events taking place across the region, you're sure to find something to keep the kids entertained this Christmas.

Last year more than 70,000 people saw the Theatre Royal's record breaking production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and this year the North East's biggest panto just got bigger.

Direct from her sell-out run in the smash hit West End Musical Chicago, Newcastle's own Jill Halfpenny, from EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing, stars as The Fairy Godmother.

Direct from the West End, the London Palladium Production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, starts its European Tour at the Sunderland Empire on December 9. Follow the enthralling adventures of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the magical car, as it sails the seas and flies through the air. And join Chitty's eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts and his enchanting children Jemima and Jeremy, together with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts as they try to outwit the dastardly Baron and the evil Child Catcher in this non-stop adventure for all ages.
