DAUNTE'S OUT, SO BRAD'S IN

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper (right), who tore up his right knee during last Sunday's loss at Carolina, finished his season with six touchdown passes and a league-high 12 interceptions. His replacement is Brad Johnson, who will start his 100th NFL game today. Johnson is 58-41 (.586) as a starting QB.

GUNNING AND RUNNING

The Tennessee Titans' Steve McNair needs 14 yards against the Cleveland Browns today to pass John Elway for fourth all-time in rushing by a quarterback. Elway had 3,407 career yards, while McNair (right) enters the game with 3,394 in his 11th season. Only Randall Cunningham (4,928 in 16 seasons), Steve Young (4,239 in 15) and Fran Tarkenton (3,674 in 18) will be ahead of McNair. …
