Teesside Athletic could go third if they can complete a basement boys away day double at struggling Ferryhill.

Athletic won 2-0 away at rock bottom Coxhoe last week to make it six league victories in a row, and barge into the promotion pack.

Now they go to second bottom Ferryhill, looking to pile the pressure on the leaders.

It is the Redcar-based outfit's first season at this level and they have quickly shown they can hold their own.

They are currently in fifth spot but have games in hand and are nine points behind leaders Birtley - who they beat on the road - and with three crucial games in hand.

STOKESLEY will be aiming to make up lost ground as they take on mid-table Boldon.

The promotion hopefuls have slipped back to fourth spot after losing 1-0 at home to Annfield Plain last time out, and then having last week's trip to Jarrow postponed.

They are seven points off the top with a game in hand on leaders Birtley. …
