WITH a reworking of one of his old songs storming up the dance charts, the hunt is on for self-imposed exile Leo Sayer.

DJ Meck is behind a dance remix of the 1977 disco track Thunder In My Heart, which flopped in the charts and heralded the beginning of the end for Sayer's career.

But no one has been able to contact the pop singer, whose hits include One Man Band and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, to tell him the track is being tipped as the biggest dance hit in years, and his biggest hit in three decades. Released in the same year as When I Need You, which topped the charts, the upbeat disco track was a step away from his usual sound and did not even dent the top 20.

He left Britain for Australia after being rejected by the pop world and has not had a hit since 1983. The video for the remix was made without him after he proved hard to find. …
