West Ham manager Alan Pardew was left pinching himself as his newly- promoted side moved up to seventh in the Barclays Premiership.

An own goal from Everton captain David Weir and Bobby Zamora's third strike in as many games saw the visitors come from behind at Goodison Park to spark thoughts of Europe.

Their third away win of the season ( after James Beattie sidefooted the hosts in front ( hoisted them above Wigan and in the thick of the teams battling for a Uefa Cup spot.

"I was pinching myself at some of our play against a team which is bang in form," said Pardew, after a richly-deserved three points suggested their focus should be on the top half of the table, and not the relegation scrap.

"We are just trying to have the best season we can. We are looking above, not what is below us, and we will continue to do so.

"I am very proud of this team and the way they are going about things.

"You only have to look at the statistics ( they show that you have a 65% chance of winning the game if you score first, but we keep putting that to bed. …
