A Tees Valley technology company is gearing up for growth after moving to a new home.

Accommodation booking firm www.bedsearcher.co.uk is now located in bigger premises in Darlington on the town's Nestfield Industrial Estate.

The firm, set up by Gill Chapple and Jim Mann in 2002, has also secured crucial funding from local unnamed private investors, thought to be in the region of pounds 500,000.

Now the company, which currently employs six, is recruiting as it launches a call centre.

It has found that people make a note of their telephone number from the website and still want to use the company to book accommodation when they are on the road and do not have access to a computer.

The new staff will also deal with other queries from customers.

Bedsearcher's new premises have room for up to 20 staff.

The firm gives people access to more than 10,000 hotels, bed and breakfasts and guest houses in the UK.

And its network now covers the whole of Europe. …
