A Tees Valley technology company is gearing up for growth after moving to a new home.

Accommodation booking firm is now located in bigger premises in Darlington on the town's Nestfield Industrial Estate.

The firm, set up by Gill Chapple and Jim Mann in 2002, has also secured crucial funding from local unnamed private investors, thought to be in the region of pounds 500,000.

Now the company, which employs six people, is recruiting more staff as it launches a call centre with space for up to 20 staff.

It has found that people make a note of its telephone number from the website and still want to use the company to book accommodation when they are on the road and do not have access to a computer. The new staff would also deal with all other customer queries.

The firm offers people access to more than 10,000 hotels, bed and breakfasts and guest houses in the UK and its network now covers the whole of Europe. …
