THIS is the first picture of the woman who was mauled to death in a horrifying attack by three sharks.

Sarah Whiley, 21, cried out after spotting the bull sharks but was ignored by fellow swimmers in a scene that was chillingly similar to the film Jaws.

And while Steven Spielberg's 1976 movie took place on a fictional Amity Island, Miss Whiley died at Amity Point.

The three sharks tore off her arms and ripped into her legs as she swam in waistdeep water at the holiday haven in Queensland, Australia.

She was pulled underwater for about five seconds before emerging and shouting "shark", said a Queensland police spokesman. "Of course people at the time thought she was only joking - until they saw the blood."

The pack attack has stunned holidaymakers at the resort on Great Stradbroke Island, about 20 miles east of Brisbane, and beaches have been closed.

It is the mating season for bull sharks and they are notorious for being even more aggressive during this time. …
