2500 block of Caparina Drive Two men were arrested on charges of grand theft and trespassing on a construction site Monday morning after a witness told police he saw two men enter a garage.

According to a police report, the men were removing lumber when a supervisor from another site approached them. The men then went back to work while a witness called the Sheriff's Office.

Arias Hernandez-Gregorio, 25, and Miguel Apolinar-Mendez, 22, both of the 8000 block of Southside Boulevard were booked into the county jail and immigration officials were notified to determine if they were in the United States legally, the incident report said.

700 block of Spring Haven Drive A Dell laptop computer, a Canon digital camera and a Sony video camera were reported stolen Jan. 26 from a 2004 Toyota, according to a police report. Police said there was no sign of forced entry into the garage or vehicle. The total value stolen was $4,200, according to the report.

500 block of Bay Hollow Court A man told police Jan. 27 he was the victim of identity theft after he was notified by his credit union there had been unfamiliar activity on his account, according to a police report. After viewing a credit card account, the man noticed the activity was not his and cancelled the card, the report said. The victim said information could have been obtained off his computer when he was having trouble shutting it down. Police gave the man an identity theft brochure and advised him to call his credit card companies and financial institutions.

100 Block of Yacht Club Drive Police responded to a delayed report of aggravated battery Jan. 27 after a man said he was shot a pellet gun on the upper left leg. According to an incident report, the man said he was riding his bicycle over the Vilano bridge when another man shot him from a vehicle and continued to drive over the bridge. The report said the man complained of bruising to his leg. Police have not located or identified driver or the vehicle. …
