DESPITE a stunning 4-0 win at Fulham, there was no Sunday off for Arsenal's players.

Arsene Wenger summoned all his first team squad into the London Colney training centre yesterday for warm down exercises to recover from a demanding fortnight.

Wenger, whose side defend a 1-0 European Cup lead against Real Madrid on Wednesday and then face a crunch Premiership match with Liverpool on Sunday, said: "We need recovery work because we have played a lot of games recently and most of the players had international games in the midweek. It is warmdown work and massages."

Arsenal certainly had every right to bask in the feelgood feeling after their performance at Craven Cottage when two goals from Thierry Henry (right) and strikes from Emmanuel Adebayor and Francesc Fabregas put them on 44 points - five behind fourth place Tottenham in the race for a Champions League finish.

The cash from top flight European football will be vital when they move to their new stadium and will be important if they are to keep Henry at the club. …
