TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN

Take Stock in Children is recruiting volunteers to be mentors for Nassau County middle- and high-school students.

Each mentor must agree to be finger-printed, attend a three-hour training in August and commit to being a mentor for a full school year.

Mentors will be introduced to students during the 10th annual Take Stock In Children Awards Celebration at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.

COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS

Communities In Schools of Nassau County seeks volunteers to help students with homework from 3 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays at Yulee Middle School.

Adults with strong backgrounds in science, math and language arts are needed.

Communities In Schools also needs volunteers for other programs in Nassau County middle and high schools. Tutors, interview and career coaches, interview challenge judges, mentors and speakers needed.

MONTESSORI SCHOOL
