Details of new voting methods for May's local elections will be publicised from Monday.

The elections in Newcastle, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland will mix traditional polling stations with postal votes and early voting stations.

Information on where the early voting stations will be and their opening times will be on the poll cards which people will receive in the next few days.

Spring fashion

THE latest spring styles will be on display at fashion shows at the MetroCentre during the Easter holidays.

The shows are in the Town Square every day until April 9.

Bunny hunt

AN EASTER treat at a windmill is being organised for children.

Fulwell Mill, in Newcastle Road, Sunderland, will stage an Easter bunny hunt and a children's treasure hunt from noon to 4pm on Easter Sunday and Monday. Admission is pounds 2 or pounds 1 and free for under-fives.
