Middlesbrough's Red Army continues its bid for European glory.

And for fans of the beautiful game, scoring the next big win may be the only thing in mind.

But as you support the Boro through these nail biting games spare a thought for your own well being.

Just this month the Gazette reported how keen supporter Malcolm Green almost died after suffering a massive heart attack as he watched a Boro home game.

Linda Haw is duty manager for St John Ambulance, North Yorkshire and Teesside branch.

She attends every Boro match as part of a 32-strong first aid team.

And she says this season they have dealt with a variety of injuries and health issues, including four heart attacks.

Linda says during a match they can be called on to deal with anything from a fall to something more serious.

"As far as the public are concerned we do deal with a variety of things from somebody slipping down the steps and breaking their wrist to heart attacks," she says. …
