A 39-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in his Westside motel room and then forced to strip while the gunmen fled.

The victim told police two men knocked on his door at the Executive Inn, 6560 Ramona Blvd., at 6:20 a.m. Sunday. The victim told police he was half asleep and opened the door without thinking. Forcing their way into the room, one struck him in the face while the other put a gun to his head, police said. The men stole $220, a cell phone, his shorts and a Florida Gators pullover shirt.

Before they left, police said, the robbers made the victim strip and lie face down on the bed, and told him to count to 100 before getting up. Before the robbery, the victim told police, he left his room at 6 a.m. and walked to a nearby convenience store to get a bottle of water and cigarettes. He told police the men may have seen him leave the store and followed him to his room.

A 59-year-old man was treated at Shands Jacksonville for a scalp laceration after a woman found him bleeding in her front driveway at 1:20 p.m. Sunday. Police said the victim, who was found in the 2500 block of Dellwood Avenue, was extremely intoxicated. His speech was slurred, and he was unable to say what happened.

It appeared the victim was hit with a concrete brick or block. His injuries did not appear life-threatening, police said.
