BUILDING/DESIGN

-- Hallmark Partners, Inc. in a collective effort with the JTA, JEDC, Elkins Constructors, Inc., and the Marks Gray, P.A. Law firm, will develop 250 residential units, 130,000 square feet of Class A office space, two restaurants and retail space in a project named "200 Riverside Avenue," across from the Riverside YMCA.

-- Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc. was selected to design a 30,000-square-foot YMCA at Nocatee, located in Northeast St. Johns County and Southeast Duval County, and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2008.

-- R. Dean Scott, Architect, Inc. will design a 500-square-foot walk-in urgent care center for Solantic inside Wal-Mart at 464016 State Road 200, in Yulee, Fla.

CONTRACTS

-- AXIA Public Relations and Marketing has been hired by Annandale Millworks/Allied Systems in Winchester, Va. for its new manufacturing facility in Yulee, Fla.

-- Dana B. Kenyon Company has been contracted to build Value Place in Orlando. The property will be 38,000 square feet, with 105 room units.

-- Wakefield Beasley & Associates Architects, Inc. has been commissioned by Thomas Enterprises, Inc. for master-planning and graphics of 20 mixed-use/retail projects throughout the U.S.

-- Lisa and Joe Knecht, Oceanside Resort Properties, LLC, owners of Casa del Mar Inn & Suites, have retained Leigh Cort Publicity to develop a campaign for a new Hotel/Condo venture.

DONATIONS/GRANTS

-- JaxWraps, a custom fleet graphics company, donated a Funk's Punks vehicle wrap for the Funk's Punks fan club.

-- The Meninak Club, a civic club in North Florida, donated a total of $25,000 in scholarships to five students from Fletcher, Raines, Stanton, Paxon and Nease High Schools.

-- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida donated $93,000 to Junior Achievement of Florida's First Coast for the Girls' and Young Women's Program and a Junior Achievement After School program to begin in the 2006/2007 school year.

HONORS/AWARDS

-- University of North Florida Nursing Professor Barbara Kruger received the 2006 Susan Jaskevich Award from the Jacksonville Commission on Services for Children with Special Needs.

-- Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc. was awarded the 2006 Architectural Showcase Award by the Florida Educational Facilities Planners' Association for its design of the Natural and Environmental Science Building at the University of South Florida.

-- Sisler Johnston Interior Design received four Laurel Awards from the Northeast Florida Builders Associations's Sales and Marketing Council.

-- Fidelity National Financial's CFO and COO, Alan Stinson, has been selected by Institutional Investor as one of America's Best Chief Financial Officers.
