Chief executive Keith Lamb believes the club's new season ticket scheme will attract the "next generation" of Boro fans to the Riverside.

The UEFA Cup finalists have already frozen prices on adult and pensioner season tickets.

And they are following suit by making the Riverside one of the cheapest places for youngsters to watch Premiership football.

The chief executive hopes the price cuts will attract a flood of fans eager to snap up season tickets ahead of Boro's June 17 deadline.

Renewal forms have already started to come in and Lamb said: "We are determined not only to keep our current season ticket holders but to also attract the next generation of Middlesbrough fans.

"Our new and extended discounts are designed to make it as affordable as possible for young fans to follow Boro as season ticket holders.

"It's been an exciting time to be a supporter over these last few years, and we aim to give the fans much more to shout about next season and beyond."

Parents buying a new Boro season ticket for Under-11s will pay pounds 120 for any area of the stadium.

And discounts previously only available to under-16s have been extended to cover all under-18 season ticket holders, meaning they can now buy a season ticket from pounds 245.

They include a guaranteed pounds 5 ticket price for all Riverside cup-ties up to the quarter-final stage for season ticket holders aged under 18.

Season ticket packages also include a copy of The MFC Yearbook, a 192-page hardback that retails at pounds 19. …
