POLICE are hunting a man in a hooded top who shot two people in the street in separate rushhour attacks.

He pulled out a handgun from his breast pocket during a row and shot an unarmed man in the throat near Islington's crowded restaurants and bars.

Then he fired several shots at two men chasing him outside the crowded entrance to Finsbury Park Tube station, hitting an innocent woman commuter in the back.

A huge police operation created travel chaos as roads were sealed off and the station was closed.

The man shot at 6.45 yesterday in Upper Street is in his thirties and is in a critical condition. Neil Perry, 23, who was sitting outside Starbucks opposite Islington Green said: "I saw this group of four black guys walking along chatting among themselves. Then these two white men came from the other direction and got in an argument with them.

"One of the white guys put his hand to his breast pocket, took out a handgun, pointed it and shot one of the men in the throat. …
