An entrepreneurial student from Northumbria Univer-sity's Hatchery facility is celebrating a double whammy of good news.

Ross Linnett, 26, a former student at the university, has started his business UKC Internet just over a year ago.

Providing websites for clients in the education and sports sectors, Ross is enjoying two major boosts to his business.

Not only has he won a pounds 4,000 contract to design a website for the further education magazine Way to Go, UKC Internet is to be the first Hatchery business to be relocated to another enterprise start-up facility which will provide additional start-up support.

Having been trading just over a year, Ross, who was previously located in the university's Hatchery facility, based on the city centre campus, was earmarked as being a suitable candidate to move his business to the Gateshead International Business Centre.

Ross said: "Being located in the Hatchery at the university for the last year has given me the opportunity to learn the ropes of being a business owner without having incurred the overheads I would have run up in a normal office set-up. …
