TAKE COMEDY 5 NIGHTS OUT

SIMON AMSTELL

Tomorrow, 8pm. Too2Much, W1 (0870 060 0100)

The waspish TV presenter has been on the stand-up scene for a while now, but is currently making a concerted effort to make a bigger name for himself with some highprofile gigs. Get along to hear him dish the celebrity dirt that C4's Popworld show wouldn't dare broadcast. And arrive early to catch the manic meanderings of rising star Russell Kane.

WE ARE KLANG

Saturday, 4pm. Etcetera Theatre, NW1 (020 7482 4857)

Greg Davies, Marek Larwood and Steve Hall are all established clowns in their own right, but together as We Are Klang they are much more than the sum of their parts, due partly to the physical contrast between the towering Davies and the dinky Larwood and partly because they share a surreal sensibility that generates oddball sketches.

SARAH KENDALL

Saturday, 9.15pm. Hen & Chickens, N1 (020 7704 2001)

A couple of years ago this feisty Australian stand-up picked up a Perrier Award nomination and looked like breaking into the big-time, but instead she decided to take some time off to recharge her batteries. Kendall is now back refreshed and warming up for a new Edinburgh Fringe campaign with a show all about, well, she's not saying yet, but it should be sparky and funny, whatever the subject.

BILL BAILEY

Sunday and Monday, 8pm. Menier Chocolate Factory, SE1.

(020 7907 7060)

This masterful comedy wizard usually plays big theatres and assorted aircraft hangars these days, but quick-offthemark fans should snap up a ticket for these intimate tryouts. The script might be a little rough around the edges, but you might well see a great routine being hatched for the first time. And you won't need a telescope to spot the facial expressions either.
