Paul Hanagan believes Greenwich Meantime will take all the beating as the jockey chases a second win in the John Smith's Northumberland Plate. After landing his biggest success in the Newcastle feature on Mirjan for Len Lungo in 2004, Hanagan is keen to win the Pitmen's Derby again on Saturday. "You can put him anywhere in the race you want, he's such a gentleman, you could put a baby on him. He's a really nice horse," he said. "He has got a great chance and it would be even better if we got some rain as well. I know he's won on fast ground and he's all right running on it but he's even better with a bit of juice. I had my biggest win on Mirjan in the race two years ago. I've won the John Smith's Cup and a Group Three on Golden Legacy but the Northumberland Plate was my biggest win. It was a great day and it was great timing because I'd got a 28-day ban so it just came at the right time."
