James Sinclair and Guy Holt bowled Newcastle into a winning position in their Under-15 Division clash at home to Benwell and Walbottle, who were all out for only 43.

Sinclair returned the splendid figures of 4-14 in five overs and Holt was equally impressive, his three wickets costing just 10 runs also from a five-over spell. Newcastle won losing just two wickets.

Tynemouth overtook the Stocksfield total of 103-6 with half their wickets intact.

Matthew Brown ended unbeaten on 28 and David Hymers added 25, while for Stocksfield Reed captured two wickets for 26 runs.

Stocksfield batted first and ended on 103-6. More than half their total came from Zuraelew with 53.

Jackson Moat captured three wickets for 15 runs and Martin Jackson 2-14 for Tynemouth.

Tynedale had 93 runs to spare defeating South Northumberland at Hexham in the Under-18 Division when they realised the huge total of 164-4.

First-team regular Thomas Cant (pictured right) led the way with an unbeaten 74 and Joe Barber added 66.

In the South North attack, Watson took two of the four wickets to fall for 30 runs.

When they went into bat, the visitors managed only 71-9 including a top-scoring 21 by Mohammed.

William Ritchie took 3-8, Telfer 2-12 and Hugh Twizell 2-3 for Tynedale.

Felling enjoyed a comfortable victory against Hetton Lyons in the Foster's Durham Senior League Under-15 Division when their innings ended on 104-9 from 20 overs.

Carl Mitchell top scored with 30 and Andy McNally added 22 while for Hetton Lyons Jack McBeth returned the splendid figures of of 5-20.

Dominic Wailes took 4-30 and Adam Gorge 3-10 when the Lyons were reduced to 65 all out.

Durham City overtook the Marsden score of 70 in losing just one wicket as Johnny Harding finished with an unbeaten 37.

Josh Moore had four wickets for 13 runs while Michael Took, Ben Bartlett and Kyle Armstrong shared the other six victims. …
