Rowson Set for Quakers Debut

Darlington new-boy Dave Rowson could make his Quakers debut against one of his former clubs tonight.

The Scottish midfielder has gone straight into the squad to face Stoke City in the League Cup first round tie at the Britannia Stadium.

And club record signing Julian Joachim looks set to make his full debut as Dave Hodgson shakes up a team which has surprisingly lost its last two games.

Rowson won a one-year contract at Darlington Arena after impressing while training in pre-season.

"David has been very patient, playing during pre-season and staying with us to show commitment to join Darlington Football Club," explained Hodgson. "He brings a lot of experience and is a solid addition to the options I now have across the midfield. Not only has he played at SPL level, he has played league football in England for four years and has been part of two promotion-winning sides, with Stoke and Northampton.
