Turney Wylde Moves from Face-Lifts to the Full Works

A construction company is nearing completion of its first new build project for a housing group.

North Tyneside-based Turney Wylde has built 55 new homes ( a mixture of bungalows and two and three storey town houses at Thorney Close, Sunderland, for Sunderland Housing Group (SHG). While Turney Wylde has carried out hundreds of housing modernisations for SHG over the last five years, this was the first new build project they had undertaken for the housing group.

Because the houses were to be built on four separate infill strips of land surrounded by existing SHG and private homes that housed many children and elderly people, Turney Wylde had limited access to the sites.

The project therefore required a high level of site management and good housekeeping to minimise disruption.
