Unsuccessful state Senate candidate Randall Terry surfaced Thursday with a message for Gov. Jeb Bush, who largely helped defeat him: Do the right thing.

Terry, beaten by a 2-to-1 margin by Sen. Jim King on Sept. 5, e-mailed a "Where's Jeb?" statement to media, calling the governor a disloyal Republican for "studiously ignoring, and perhaps even sabotaging," former Secretary of State Katherine Harris' bid for the U.S. Senate.

"If Jeb Bush has a political, partisan, ethical and moral duty to oppose Jim Davis and help Charlie Crist, then he has the same duty to oppose Bill Nelson and help Katherine Harris," Terry said.

"Allow me to speak bluntly: Either Jeb Bush will be consistent and honorable, or inconsistent and dishonorable. God forbid, but he may end up being treacherous."

Bush endorsed King in his race against Terry, who's from Ponte Vedra Beach. But the governor and other top Republicans have treated Harris much more coldly, suggesting she cannot beat Nelson and holding events without her. …
