WEST Ham star Anton Ferdinand was in trouble again today after he was arrested by police over an attack outside a nightclub.

The England under-21 defender is alleged to have been part of a gang who punched and kicked a man. Ferdinand - the brother of Manchester United and England star Rio - was arrested on suspicion of assault and questioned by police in Ilford yesterday. He was later released on bail.

Unemployed Emile Walker, 22, suffered a broken jaw in the attack which took place outside Faces in Ilford, east London.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We were called at around 01:13 on 2 October to reports of a disturbance involving around 15 people outside Faces nightclub on Cranbrook Rd, Ilford.

"Subsequently, an allegation of assault was reported to police."

He added: "A man in his twenties attended an east London police station in connection with the allegation. He has been arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed to return on in November. …
