Victim Killed by Single Stab Wound in Front of Shoppers

A MAN was stabbed to death during a fight in front of scores of shoppers and school children.

The victim is believed to have died from a single stab wound to the chest following a fight outside a bar in Romford.

He was attacked with a four-inch blade which was later found lying next to him as he lay dying.

The attack happened just after 3pm near the train station in Romford town centre.

Witnesses in Bentley's,

a nearby bar, said the victim had been drinking with a girl when she stood up and walked outside.

The man then followed her out of the bar but became embroiled in an argument with another man who was waiting on the pavement.

A witness said they started to fight within seconds of seeing each other.

He said: "They started struggling and within a

moment one of the men collapsed.

"When the paramedics arrived, they ripped off his shirt and tried to revive him and I could see there was a single stab wound in his chest near his heart. …
