Neill Collins says it is a case of out of the frying pan, into the fire after leaving Sunderland to join Wolves on loan, (writes JAMES HUNTER).

The defender decided to leave Wearside after finding his chances of first-team football in his preferred centre-back role were limited now that Sunderland have Stanislav Varga, Kenny Cunningham, Danny Collins and Steve Caldwell are all fighting for places.

But Collins admits he has a job on his hands to displace either Gary Breen or Jody Craddock ( both former Sunderland players ( now he has arrived at Molineux until the New Year.

Collins said: "I know how well Gary Breen and Jody Craddock have been doing this season, so I am going to have to train hard to get my chance.

"But this is a league where you need a lot of players so I'm hoping an opportunity will come."

Collins had been used at right-back by Sunderland boss Roy Keane at various times this season but the 23-year-old is keen to get back to playing in central defence. …
