Rockafella chef Terry Miller has taken a break from the kitchen to write his life story.

Geordie Fella: A Road to Hell, charts the celebrity chef's life from boy to man, and everything inbetween.

The 47-year-old from Ponteland, shot to fame after winning the ITV reality show Hell's Kitchen, when he was taken under Gary Rhodes' wing and went on to win a pounds 250,000 prize, and the hearts of the nation.

Since then, Terry has been in demand as both chef and celebrity, opening up his restaurant Rockafella in the heart of Newcastle.

He is expecting big things from his book.

"I've done a lot of things most people don't know about it," said the chef, who is married to Linda, "so it was good to get everything written down.

"I've given the book to a few friends and they've all said they couldn't put it down. I know they wouldn't say to me it wasn't any good but to say that, I think, means they must like it. …
