Bill star Taylforth 'punched by partner' in domestic row

ACTRESS Gillian Taylforth was allegedly punched by her partner during an argument in front of their son, it was reported today.

She needed three stitches in her scalp after Geoff Knights, 53, allegedly hit her at their house in Broxbourne, Herts, on Saturday night and she fell on a coffee table. The Sun reported that Knights was released after 18 hours in a police cell when The Bill and Footballers' Wives star, 51, said she did not want to press charges.

Father held after child deaths

A FATHER remained in custody today on suspicion of murdering his two children in the family home. Caitlin Samuel, five, and her three-year-old brother Aidan, were found dead in their house in Bodelwyddan, North Wales, on Sunday. Their father, Perry Samuel, 35, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. Their mother was not at home when the tragedy took place.

Detectives refused to comment on reports the children were drowned in the bath. The results of a post-mortem examination are expected tomorrow.

Phone thieves tie up lorry driver

A FRENCH lorry driver was tied up and blindfolded by a gang of thieves who stole his [pounds sterling]100,000 cargo of mobile phones after ambushing him in Brinklow, Buckinghamshire. The driver was attacked during the middle of the night by a masked man who smashed the window of his cab and then tied his feet and hands together. Police said that the lorry was then driven from the ambush site to a layby near Brogborough, where the thieves offloaded 24 pallets of Alcatel phone handsets onto waiting vehicles.

More arrests in gang fight killing

TWO more teenagers have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 16-year old boy stabbed to death in a gang knife fight.

Eugene Attram, 16, of Thornton Heath, south London, suffered a fatal knife wound and three other youths were taken to hospital after being stabbed during the clash on Saturday. …
