Last week: Georgia lost to Mississippi State 27-24. Florida was idle.

Last meeting: Georgia lost to Florida 14-10 last season.

Story line: What's worse - a loss to Vanderbilt or a three-point win over Mississippi State? It might be the Mississippi State result because it indicates that the Vanderbilt game might not have been aberration. What might top both losses is what is likely waiting for Georgia in the game formerly know as The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Georgia might have trouble swallowing a concoction that includes an angry Florida team with a week off to stew over its loss to Auburn. The Bulldogs need to rediscover their defense from earlier this season and fast.

Records: Georgia Tech is 5-2. Miami is 5-2.

Last week: Georgia Tech lost Clemson 31-7. Miami beat Duke 20-15.

Last meeting: Georgia Tech beat Miami 14-10 last season.

Story line: Despite getting hammered by Clemson, the Yellow Jackets still have a chance to win the ACC. Tech is tied with Miami (both teams are 2-1 in conference play) and the winner of Saturday's game will have the inside track to the ACC Championship game. Even if Georgia Tech loses, it will still have an outside chance to catch, thanks to its remaining schedule (N.C. State, North Carolina, Duke) and Miami's remaining schedule (Virginia Tech, Maryland, Virginia, Boston College). But before any of that can considered the Yellow Jackets need to figure out how to stop the running game.
