CHARLIE HODGSON will keep a cool head when he comes face to face with South African "headhunter" Butch James (below) on Saturday.

The England fly-half, who scored a record 27 points in the 32-16 win over the Boks two years ago, insists: "If they target me, that's a good thing because South Africa see me as a major threat and want to stop me playing.

"James has a reputation as a headhunter and he's physical. But will be looking for that. I'm not worried. I'll get out of the way as quickly as I possibly can!"

KwaZulu-Natal hardman James has based his reputation for destroying rival No 10s with an illegal "noarms" shoulder tackle.

South African coach Jake White said: "Butch is a physical outside-half and Hodgson will know within a few minutes he is in for a rough ride.

"England have looked vulnerable and Butch will prevent Hodgson from playing his normal game."
