He's game for a stint on the telly

MARSKE councillor Mike Findley will have to resist temptation when Saturday's football results are read out to the nation.

For Mike will be the person reading them out on national telly. Mike, 61, will read the results for BBCi's Score Interactive service.

And he's pledging not to doctor the score for Fulham, his favourite team.

Hosted by Ray Stubbs, Score Interactive can be accessed by digital TV viewers by pressing the red button from 2.40pm during Grandstand.

From 4.30 to 5.25pm it re-joins BBC1 for Final Score, then continues on BBCi until 6pm for post-match reaction from players and managers.

And it's during that segment that a member of the public gets the chance to read the results after expert guidance from the man who first reveals them to the nation at 4.55pm, Tim Gudgeon.

Mike, 61, whose dulcet Tooting tones should be heard at around 5.30pm, says he's looking forward to the experience. …
