Fingerprint Security Firm's System Wins National Award

NEWCASTLE firm UK Biometrics, which specialises in technology which manages fingerprint operated security systems, has won the NMT Nursery Innovator Award 2006.

Sponsored by Nursery Management Today magazine, the NMT Award recognises the product or service which has contributed most to nursery management in the UK this year.

Matt James, UK Biometrics managing director, said: "The NMT Nursery Innovator Award 2006 is proof that the biometrics industry in the UK has come of age.

"Nursery managers and childcare professionals are entrusting the security of children and staff to our systems. We are all delighted to have won this national award which is a reflection on the hard work of everybody here at UK Biometrics".

The runners up were Berkshire-based Nursery Cam, a webcam system that enables parents to watch their children at the nursery' London-based Nexus Pine, a pounds 50m nursery property investment fund' Connect Software from Blackburn which makes radio controlled child monitoring systems and London-based BVS Training. …
