A WINDOW cleaner described as a "gentle giant" was shot dead after watching boxing. Sean Jenkins, who was 6ft 8in, had been with friends to Caesar's Palace in Streatham on Sunday night and had then gone to a house in Newstead Walk, Carshalton, where there was an argument. He was later shot as he opened the front door. A man, 34, was arrested.

'Nang' youths win hero award

TWO groups of young Londoners were today hailed as heroes by John Reid after winning an award set up in memory of a murdered headteacher.
