With the majority of teams on County Cup duty, Killingworth Social YPC took full advantage and claimed three points in their Division One clash against Lindisfarne Athletic.

The Social ran out 3-0 winners with two goals from Mark Armstrong and one from Paul Nichol to move to within four points of safety.

Cramlington Town Reserves won 2-1 at home to Wardley Durham Ranger.

Andy Larmouth was on target twice for Cramlington, with Jason Burns getting the Wardley goal.

In Division Two, Newcastle RVI climbed one place with a 3-2 win at Newcastle IJLW Brazil. A goal each for Steven Dodds and David Rowland plus an own goal was enough to seal the points for the RVI.

Sean Haigh and Matthew Creighton were on target for IJLWB.

In the Northumberland FA Minor Cup there were two all-TAL ties. Newcastle City beat Blyth Spartans A 2-1 with two Neil Austin goals. David Jackson scored for Spartans.

Cullercoats Piper knocked out MDT Newcastle 4-0. Andrew McCartney, Tony Fawcett, Mark Wilkinson and William Walton scored. …
