Pete DID Have Row with Pal in Death Plunge; ACTOR 'PINNED DOHERTY TO WALL' MINUTES BEFORE HIS DEATH

MARK BLANCO, the young actor who died after falling from a 30ft balcony in Whitechapel, had a confrontation with singer Pete Doherty only minutes before, it was revealed today.

Blanco, 30, was found dying after he attended a party at the home of Paul Roundhill, the singer's literary agent. During the party Blanco pinned Doherty to a wall, prompting Roundhill and Doherty's friend, Johnny Headlock, to intervene.

Then Blanco, a Cambridge graduate who had just secured his first theatre role, was thrown out of the party. Minutes later he was found lying on the pavement below the balcony, dying from a massive head wound.

Police are now expected to interview 27-year-old Doherty.

One of the guests, who identified herself as Anna Smith, a textile designer, said: "He pinned Doherty up against a wall near the fireplace. He had one arm each side of him. Pete was looking around the room, as if asking for help."

Then, Ms Smith said, Roundhill took Blanco's arm. …
