With women opting to wear their partner's aftershave LUCY MINES sniffs out the best unisex fragrances

ALL that is masculine is being embraced by women this season, with manly tailoring being key to the "borrowed from the boyfriend" look. But our obsession with all things manly doesn't stop at fashion. With more and more designer men's scents on the market, women are finding they prefer a splash of their partner's aftershave.

Perfumier Roja Dove believes women are seeking out more individual fragrances.

"To be taken seriously, women in power need something more masculine," he explains.

According to Dove, there are two types of male fragrance that particularly suit women.

The first is known as chypre.

Based around moss, musk and wood, it has an oriental vibe.

This is ideal for those who like floral fragrances but find women's too sweet and syrupy.
