Two teenagers are taking advantage of Australian sporting hospitality as they prepare for the world stage.

Jessica Dickons and Jemma Lowe - Borough of Stockton and Tees Active Sports Academy swimming stars - are spending three weeks in Brisbane.

While there they will be training alongside Jessicah Schipper - the current world 200m butterfly record holder and winner of two gold medals at the World Championships and three gold medals at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

They are also due to meet up with British swimming physiologist Tim Kerrison, who will be monitoring the girls while they are in Queensland.

The pair, both 16, flew to Brisbane with their coach Graeme Antwhistle.

They are due to return on January 21.

While in the land of Oz the girls will certainly be put through their paces.

They face a tough training schedule, getting up at 3.15am to walk to the 50m training pool where they will train from 4.30am to 7.30am and then complete 90 minutes' land training. …
