Let's Quit All Those Nasty Habits

How many times have you kicked off a new year with the pledge: "That's it. I am never going to drink again" or: "My smoking days are over. I quit as of now"?

Well in my case every year for the past 20-odd. So I am not going to even mention giving up these habits. After all a quitter never stops quitting, but something far more important, nasty driving habits.

We have all been privy to these displays, finger up the nose, picking of teeth or ears, scratching bodily parts especially the ones that the culprits think other drivers cannot see. Well they can and it's disgusting.

Then there is the man who is too lazy to get out of bed early enough therefore resorts to shaving in the car, cleaning his teeth, gelling the one wayward hair then attempting to comb it into position.

But ladies, you come under fire too, suffering the same syndrome as the men in staying in bed too long meaning you have to apply make up on the go, re-arranging the hair and applying nail polish. …
