Four teams posted shutouts in quarterfinal play at the Gateway Conference girls soccer tournament Wednesday and will meet in semifinal matches today at Patton Park.

At Mandarin, the Mustangs topped First Coast 8-0, and Paxon won by the same score over Wolfson.

Senior Hannah Bloom scored twice in the first half, and sophomore Lauren McKeen added two goals in the second half to lead Mandarin (11-7-2).

Paxon improved to 11-7-4.

Host Fletcher turned back Sandalwood 4-0 as sophomore Taylor Hays scored three goals in the second half to break a scoreless tie at halftime.

The Senators will meet Stanton (11-7-2), an 8-0 winner over Englewood (13-7). Katie Wood scored four goals, and Amanda Edwards and Whitney Roher added two goals each.

BOYS SOCCER: In the boys Gateway Conference tournament, Mandarin and Wolfson will meet at 7:20 tonight after recording shutout wins.

Mandarin entered the tournament with just one win in 15 matches this year, but the Mustangs (3-13-1) won their second match of the tournament with a 4-0 win over Paxon. …
