WEBSITE PROS EARNINGS SHINE IN QUARTER

Website Pros Inc. reported better than expected fourth-quarter results, as the Jacksonville-based provider of Web site building and Internet services for businesses completed its first full year as a public company.

The company reported net income of $4.8 million, or 25 cents per diluted share, compared with earnings of $509,000 the previous year. The 2006 earnings included a $3.2 million net tax benefit.

Revenue in the quarter rose 46 percent to $16.4 million.

AMSOUTH TO OPEN NEW BRANCH SUNDAY

AmSouth Bank will open is 25th Jacksonville branch Sunday. The new branch, located at 4569 Town Center Parkway, will hold its grand opening activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The new branch will employ specialists in wealth management, consumer, small business and commercial banking and mortgage lending, according to an AmSouth statement.

Those who visit the branch during the grand opening can enter for a chance to win one of two $500 cash prizes as well.

FOUR DIE WHEN CSX TRAIN COLLIDES WITH VAN

At least four men on the way to work were killed Thursday morning when their van collided with a CSX Transportation freight train at a rural Alabama crossing, authorities said.

Coroner Randy Yeargan said four people survived the crash with injuries and there were "multiple fatalities." A sheriff's deputy at the scene put the death toll at four.

The collision occurred at a crossing marked by a sign but no cross bars or flashing lights.

CSX spokesman Gary Sease in said the train was headed to Louisville, Ky., from Baldwin.
