Call to help make alleygates a success

Residents in Middlesbrough's Park Ward have been urged by a local councillor to make the new alleygates scheme a success.

Ward councillor Joe Michna and Frances McIntyre called for the installation of alleygates.

Now that a number of alleygates have been installed by Middlesbrough Council, the two councillors want to ensure the scheme is successful.

Cllr Michna said: "Residents will need to play their part and help to make the programme a success. This is not just down to the council.

"It is important residents do whatever they can to assist the council in ensuring this development is a positive one, that the local environment is improved as a result of it and that people feel more secure in their homes. …
