THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP 15, 106 minutes, dir Michel Gondry GONDRY'S follow-up to Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is a mad skip through the mind of a young would-be artist played by Gael Garcia Bernal, whose inability to speak French doesn't stop him falling for his elusive neighbour Charlotte Gainsbourg. With its stopmotion cinematography and imaginative bursts, this is perfect for those who like to wriggle around in others' psyches; those who don't will find it infuriating.

THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND 15, 121 minutes, dir Kevin Macdonald IN SEVENTIES Uganda, Idi Amin comes to power and appoints a young Scot as his personal physician. James McAvoy is superb as Dr Garrigan, first seduced by the dictator's power and charm, but gradually realising just what he has been blithely countenancing. They haven't much chemistry as a couple, but so what? The credits, with Grant in a floppy wig playing at pop stardom, are worth the price of admission alone.

CHARLOTTE'S WEB U, 97 minutes, dir Gary Winick JULIA ROBERTS and Steve Buscemi lead an all-star cast of voices in a charming remake of E B White's farmyard tale. …
