Where do you work?

Based at the Meadow Well Clinic in North Shields, but I work across the whole of North Tyneside.

What does your job involve?

All my work revolves around trying to reduce levels of obesity in children and adults. It involves delivering training to staff, attending and organising meetings, helping produce resources and helping to organise programs, interventions or events which will help to tackle obesity across North Tyneside.

What are the most important qualities you need for this type of work?

Very good organisational and people skills as well as having current up-to-date knowledge on relevant health topics around weight management, including physical activity, nutrition and psychology.

How long have you been in the profession?

Around 16 months at North Tyneside Primary Care Trust, one year elsewhere.
