The short list ONE THING YOU REALLY SHOULD KNOW

THE ART BARN St Stephen's Church, Emperor's Gate, SW7 (07960 496481) The Easter holidays loom and if you are staying in London, Sofia Randall is the woman to help with that what-shall-I-dowith- kids problem. Montessori-trained and with experience as a headteacher, Sofia runs The Art Barn, where younger children are encouraged to be as creative as possible without you having to clear up the mess. Her morning and afternoon Easter art workshops for two- to sevenyear- olds start tomorrow and end on Friday 20 April, costing eA'15 per session.

Also on offer is a chance for budding thespians to practice their trade with a series of workshops where four- to sevenyear- olds can dramatise the likes of Maurice Sendark's classic story Where the Wild Things Are under the direction of actress and qualified teacher Julia Gray.

Drama sessions are on Wednesday 11, Thursday 12 and Friday 13 April.

Four- and five-year-olds: 9am-11am; sixand seven- year-olds: 11:15am- 1:15pm.

eA'20 per session.

And after Easter, if you can't contemplate the combination of toddlers and paints, Sofia runs art classes for little ones during termtime every Tuesday and Thursday morning in Litchfield Studios, Oxford Gardens, W10. At eA'15 for a 90-minute session, they include a snack, drink and she'll even change nappies!
