THIERRY HENRY has added to the uncertainty surrounding Arsenal by telling the board he will only stay at the club if Arsene Wenger stays as manager.

The striker signed a four-year deal at the end of last season but he has joined Cesc Fabregas in voicing concerns over his own future following the shock departure of vice-chairman David Dein last week.

Henry said: "At the end of last season I signed a new contract. I believe in the boss and what he is trying to do here. As long as he is here then I will be here."

But Wenger today moved to allay Henry's fears when he revealed he had spoken to the players personally about his future. He said: "They are an important part of the club. They deserve an explanation as to what is going on here. I explained to the players the situation and said to them I am committed to the club until 2008. …
